Air India sets up Helpline Desks in four major Metro stations


New Delhi, Nov 17: Air India has set up dedicated telephone numbers at the four major Metro stations i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, in addition to its all India Toll free Call Centre Number 1800-180-1407.

These dedicated lines will reportedly provide information on the status of Air India flights round the clock, all seven days of the week, said the Ministry of Civil Aviation in its statement on Monday.

Last week, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has said that privatization of national carrier Air India cannot be ruled out in future citing suggestions from various quarters in this regard.

The minister had also stated that state-owned Airports Authority of India (AAI) and national helicopter company Pawan Hans would be listed on the stock exchanges to improve transparency and efficiency.
