BJP questions Delhi CM Kejriwal`s electricity bill exceeding Rs 1 lakh for two-month period

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, June 30: An RTI enquiry has revealed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s electricity bill over a two-month period exceeds Rs one lakh.

According to reports, documents procured by RTI activist Vivek Garg showed that Kejriwal had received two electricity bills worth Rs 55,999 and Rs 65, 780.

Meanwhile, the BJP on Tuesday alleged that Arvind Kejriwal does not practice what he preaches, adding that the Delhi Chief Minister only looks to target rival politicians.

BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao said: “Arvind Kejriwal, while fighting the Delhi elections, used to make all sorts of allegations of wastage of public money against other politicians. Today you see that he, as a Chief Minister, is spending almost as much money on his power bill as his salary.”

“I think that now, the people of Delhi know that he does not practice what he preaches. His preaching is for other politicians and parties,” Rao added.
