Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd, starring SRK and Deepika Padukone as lead couple ‘HNY’ reportedly crossed Rs 350 Cr gross Box Office collections worldwide.
With the India collection of the film crossing a whopping Rs 200 Cr net Box Office and Overseas collecting USD 15 million so far, Happy New Year has become one of the highest grosser of 2014.
It broke the records of opening day collection, according to a renowned trade analyst. It broke the opening day collection of Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’, Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Bang Bang’.
Reportedly, Happy New Year made a fabulous start with a whopping Box Office collection of Rs 44.97 cr on its opening day at the domestic market. It made a place in the 100 crore club within just three days of its release.
Speaking about the success of HNY, Venky Mysore, Red Chillies Entertainment CEO reportedly said to a tabloid, “The entire RCE team is very proud of having been associated with a mega project like Happy New Year. The way the audiences across the world have received the film to make it one of the biggest successes till date is very satisfying.”
Directed by Farah Khan this comedy- drama also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in pivotal roles.
