New Delhi, July 2: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has urged the media that it should focus on the work done by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government instead of talking about other things.
The Delhi Deputy Chief Minister on Thursday said: “Instead of focusing on our work, media is talking about other things. I request media to also look at the work that we are doing. The advertisements are to highlight our work with the people.”
The Aam Aadmi Party has reportedly set aside Rs 520 crore to fund its radio advertisements over the current financial year, in which Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address the people of Delhi and share his government’s work.
The ads, which will run with the tagline ‘Jo Kaha, So Kiya’, will refer to his party’s pre-poll promises and the steps taken by the government to implement them.
Sisodia said the advertisements that his government is planning to run on the radio will aim to highlight the work done by them for the people of the city.
He said: “Our government is running 24 hours. The media instead of focussing on the work we are doing, is pointing at other things. That is their choice; but I request that the media also look at the work that we are doing. The advertisements are to highlight our work with the people.”
Earlier this year, the Supreme Court had ruled that only photographs of the President, the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice can be used for government advertisements which are being paid for by public funds.
