Mesut Ozil may leave Arsenal for Bayern Munich in January: Report

Mesut Ozil

London, Oct 13: German Mesut Ozil is unhappy at his current club and wants to leave as soon as January. The injured midfielder could reportedly have played his last game for Arsenal.

According to Metro.co.uk report, Ozil could quit Arsenal before he returns from a knee injury that has ruled him out until next year. The German midfielder is not enjoying life at the club and is keen to move in the next transfer window.

The report said that the World Cup winner has grown disillusioned with Arsene Wenger, having repeatedly been played out of his preferred central position.

The irked Ozil could return to his native country with Bayern Munich.

Speculations are that the Bundesliga club is preparing 30 million-pound bid for the midfielder, 12.5 million pounds less than what Arsenal paid Real Madrid for Ozil.

The report said the fee could free up funds for a move for his Germany teammate Sami Khedira.
