Prime Minister Narendra Modi

New Delhi, June 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ‘Digital India Week’ here on Wednesday to empower the people of the country through the Digital India Programme.

Digital India aims to transform the country into a digitally empowered knowledge economy.

Apart from the event here, 600 districts across the country will organise various programmes to sensitise people about the
ongoing activities under the Digital India platform.

Earlier this month, the Prime Minister called for ideas to ‘transform’ the nation’s economy through the ‘Digital India’ initiative.

The Prime Minister took to twitter to raise the call. He posted: “Have ideas for a digital India & to transform our economy? Then you must participate in the ‘Innovate for Digital India Challenge’ on MyGov.”

Modi further added: “Come, #Innovate4DigitalIndia & make an impactful contribution towards India’s progress.”
