New Delhi, Nov 18: The romantic saga ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ which is still running at Maratha Mandir theater in Mumbai will complete its 1000 weeks on December 12 this year. Released in 1995, this romantic movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kjaol in lead role is considered a cult classic.
King Khan, who wooed our hearts with his boy next-door image as Raj, had expressed his desire to celebrate the blockbuster in a grand manner.
If latest buzz is to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan along with Kajol, who ho played lovable Simran in DDLJ, will make a special appearance on the most popular TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil to mark the grand occasion.
They are reportedly to shoot for the episode on November 30 and talk about their memories associated with the movie. While talking to a leading tabloid, a source close to the TV show has reportedly said, “The duo plan to shoot on November 30 at Film City. They will talk about the film and share their memories.”
It is also said that SRK considers Comedy Nights with Kapil as a perfect platform to celebrate the success of DDLJ, which is also known as the ‘Bible of Bollywood romance’.
Reportedly, DDLJ was the first film to broadcast its making as a thirty minute show on Doordarshan. According to recent buzz, this romantic classic movie, which is still a crowd-puller in the 11.30 am matinee show, may be pulled out from Maratha Mandir once the 1000 weeks are over. However, any official confirmation has not made been by the makers.
