New Delhi, Nov 17: Putting all speculations to rest that he is foraying into politics, superstar Rajinikanth has said that he is a little hesitant to join politics but he is not scared of it.
“Politics is dangerous and deep. I am not afraid of politics, but hesitant. In politics you need strong roots,” the ‘Lingaa’ star has reportedly said in an interview at the trailer-launch event of his upcoming film.
Rajinikanth said political entry is not in his hands, as it depends on God’s will whether he will be heading to politics or not.
The ‘Thalaiva’ of south movies further added, “I have been moving in the direction shown by God. If he desires that I should come to politics, I will serve the people.”
There has been speculations for years whether the megastar would join politics as various political parties have been wooing him.
Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Lingaa’ is expected to release on the superstar’s birthday on December 12.
While talking about the movie, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, the actor has reportedly said that doing films with a social message is also a ‘service to the society’
