New York, June 21: United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon greeted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who is New York to participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations, and said ‘Namaste, kya haal chaal hain’.
Expressing his excitement at the first International Day of Yoga during his meeting with the External Affairs Minister UN Secretary General said the day has garnered “unprecedented” enthusiasm from people around the world.
“I heard that there is great enthusiasm in India. We were thinking how we could do programmes… it is unprecedented that two million people are participating. I would like to thank India for this,” the UN Secretary General told Swaraj during their meeting.
The yoga day event in New York has been organised by the Indian Mission at the United Nations.
