`Wolf of Wall Street` tops most illegally downloaded films of 2014

Washington, Dec 30: Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ has claimed the top spot in the list of most illegally downloaded film of 2014.

Piracy-tracking firm Excipio reportedly stated that Disney’s Oscar winning animated movie ‘Frozen’ was next to the true-life tale of corrupt New York stockbrokers.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Both the films were downloaded around 30 million times by torrent users between 1 January and 23 December 2014.

‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, a Leonardo DiCaprio film, had caused controversy due to its sex and drug-taking scenes when it was released in the US, and was also nominated for best picture at the Oscars.
